Candace 7-months update

Haven't updated in a while. Sol-B started preschool in the last month and much was going on. Candace will be 7 months tomorrow! So fast! She has started solids for just over a month now. Here is a video last month of her first time trying solids.
She can also drink from a straw cup. This is thanks to her practice of sucking from a dropper of gripe water and she just learned on her own!
She can roll over from back to front easily and the last few days can roll from front to back. She loves to look at her brother Sol-B. Whenever they are in the same room, her eyes just follow him everywhere! He is her hero right now! Tummy time:
 Recently she likes to play with her new toy, the infamous "Circle of Neglect" exersaucer! Sol-B used to be scared of it when he was the same age. Or he'll sit in it and not move! Here she is looking at herself in the mirror!

Sol-B's first dentist visit

Sol-B visited the dentist for the first time! The last time he went with me at 2.5 years old he was too scared to have Ms. Dentist look at his teeth, but this time he is such a big boy now! He also loves the dentist chair because it can go up and down! So proud of you Sol-B!

Sol-B's first train and paddle boat ride

Sol-B had many firsts lately. He rode on the GO train, on a paddle boat, and went to the dentist all for the first time in the past month! I'll post the dentist videos in another post.

He loves and is obsessed with trains. He can see the GO train from the house every evening and is just a big train fan. Gung Gung and Por Por brought him to ride on the GO train and he was sooo excited!

We haven't done the song circle with Sol-B and stuffed animals in a long time. Today we did one for the first time also with Candace! Candace loved the songs and was smiling during the singing!

This was Sol-B doing Roly Poly when he was only 21 months old! He was so small then and couldn't even talk then! How fast kids grow up!

Haha here is Sol-B saying his colours in Chinese and English. His English right now sounds a bit like HK English. It's so funny! Candace is getting really alert now and likes ppl to play with her. She is practicing her kicking skills! She also really recognizes people! She starts to cry when Ivan 伯伯 gets too close to her!

Update about Candace

Oops...haven't written much about little Candace 晴晴. She's just past 3 months now and often smiles and makes sounds to us if we play with her or talk to her. Hehe she is starting to want to be picked up, esp by Yea Yea! This is so hilarious! She was "talking" a lot even by 10 weeks!

Happy birthday Sol-B!

Sol-B is 3 years old! Time sure passes by fast! He really does not seem like a baby anymore!

Haha one of Sol-B's favourite activities after dinner is to watch "do do do do", which is the intro music to the fairchild news. LOL We taped it on the PVR and he'll watch it repeatedly. He can function the remote now!



Sol-B likes to do laundry with daddy. He really is helping out!

More mui mui songs and riding fire truck

Last week, Sol-B went to the fire hall with gung gung and por por on one of his walks. Guess what? The firefighter was washing the fire truck and he opened the gate to let him in for a visit! He also got to ride in one of the fire trucks!!!

Welcome Candace!

Sol-B has a little sister! Candace Lui 呂晴 was born on March 3, 2013.

Even before Candace was born, Sol-B loves to kiss his little sister in  my tummy.



Sol-B did have to make a lot of adjustments since mui mui was born though. A little more tantrums, but overall, he really loves his little sister.

Visit from Uncle On and Aunt Lucy

My uncle On and Aunt Lucy lives just the next street to our new house. A few weeks ago, they popped by for a visit.

I love singing and helping out

Sol-B LOVES singing. He especially likes to sing his favourite songs but with his own lyrics of 老虎仔 and "whoa whoa" (doggy). He was really excited on a weekend afternoon when the stuffed animals formed a singing circle and he invited everyone to join the circle to sing!





He also loves helping out on what we do now. Have to show Sol-B these helping out videos later on when he's older and if he's unwilling to do his chores!

We've finally settled down a bit in our new house. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a great new year!

When Sol-B knows that we are videotaping him, he'll either won't do what we want to videotape or he'll put on an extra show. Here Yea Yea and Mah Mah  paid him a visit to his room during the nightly bedtime storytime. He was showing off all the things that he knows. Normally, he doesn't say all those things! It shows that he remembers all the little things that we've spoken to him.



The night Mah Mah came back from HK a few weeks ago, Sol-B started to report to her all the things that happened while she was gone. It was sooo funny!
